Section 7
Powers of Special Courts
The powers of Special Courts shall be as under:-
(a) To hear other persons or evidences deemed necessary in connection with the case, in addition to the plaintiff-defendant's witnesses,
(b) Issuing a warrant to a defendant or a witness who fails to appear within the time limit and making a statement or affidavit,
(c) to set aside a date for the trial of any aspect of the case or to bring it up when necessary or to appear at a specific time without setting a date,
(d) If it does not appear from the evidence obtained immediately that an accused person should be detained and tried, to ask him for bail or bail, taking into account the amount he has caused damage or the amount illegally taken and also the imprisonment or fine he may face,
(e) Based on the evidence immediately received, if there is sufficient and reasonable reason to detain the accused and remand him in custody, regardless of what is written in the prevailing law, he shall be remanded in custody. (f) The special court can maintain the bond or surety taken by the investigating agency in connection with the investigation to the extent of the limitation.
